Important Notes About the AEV DualSport XT Lift Kit:Although not "required", we HIGHLY recommend using AEV's Geometry Correction Brackets and ProCal Module with this lift kit.
With 2.5" of lift, "bump-steer" is not as big of an issue as with greater lift heights. However, ANY amount of lift changes the suspension geometry and therefore has a negative effect on the vehicle's handling unless corrected. AEV's Geometry Correction Brackets, included with AEV's 3.5" and 4.5" kits, virtually eliminate bump-steer and improve handling by correcting the position of the lower control arms rear mounts.
Whenever tire sizes and/or gear ratios are changed, the factory computer needs to be re-calibrated to accommodate the changes. Without correction, the speedometer is not accurate and on-board systems that rely on accurate speed sensor data will not operate correctly. The dealership can only calibrate to 32" tires and a 4:10 to 1 gear ratio, because these are the most aggressive tires/gears Jeep currently offers on "stock" vehicles. An alternative to the ProCal is a performance programmer like the Bully Dog GT for Jeep.
Once again, although not "required", we at RubiTrux recommend AEV's Geometry correction brackets and ProCal Module with every DualSport XT lift kit. In fact, we NEVER build one of our in-house conversions without them.

Have this kit on a 2012 Unlimited with 33 inch tires. I wanted something that did not sacrifice the factory ride, but I wanted more than a spacer kit. Personally, I think it rides smoother than the factory suspension, perhaps its the Bilstein shocks. Very happy with purchase, would recommend. (Posted on 6/26/13)
