The New Rear Tire Carrier from GenRight for the Jeep JL is constructed of 100% Tig Welded Aluminum and is only 21 Pounds. This Carrier is completely independent of the rear bumper and fits nice and snug with 4 mounting points to the factory door hinges.

Requires drilling of four 3/8" holes on drivers side rear area by the tail light to mount the two latch plates
Requires that the factory rear door hinges be removed so new GenRight rear door hinges can be installed (no new holes required)
Each tire carrier is drilled with a fish wire to allow you to pull electrical power wires through the tubes of the tire carrier
This carrier relocates the licence plate from the side to the rear. It is necessary to have a license plate light
You can lock this Tire Carrier by replacing one or both of the supplied closure pins with a lockable 1/2" hitch pin
