The AEV DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Suspension System was developed for Wrangler JK owners who want the off road performance of a taller suspension system, but the on road stability and handling of a stock Wrangler. With the 2.5" DualSport XT suspensions system, AEV captured the best of both worlds AND improved ride handling over a stock Wrangler. Instead of using the spring rates and shock valving of the taller systems, AEV decided to redesign new frequency-tuned, triple-rate coils and custom-tuned Bilstein shocks to complement the new coils. In addition, a new rear Track-Arm Tower was created to improve cornering and braking. These new features make the AEV DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Suspension Lift Kit one of the best suspension systems on the market for someone who uses their Wrangler as a daily driver but also loves to hit the trails.

Important Notes About the AEV DualSport XT Lift Kit:Whenever tire sizes and/or gear ratios are changed, the factory computer needs to be re-calibrated to accommodate the changes. Without correction, the speedometer is not accurate and on-board systems that rely on accurate speed sensor data will not operate correctly. The dealership can only calibrate to 32" tires and a 4:10 to 1 gear ratio, because these are the most aggressive tires/gears Jeep currently offers on "stock" vehicles. An alternative to the ProCal is a performance programmer like the Bully Dog GT for Jeep. With 2.5" of lift, "bump-steer" is not as big of an issue as with greater lift heights. However, ANY amount of lift changes the suspension geometry and therefore has a negative effect on the vehicle's handling unless corrected. AEV's Geometry Correction Brackets, included with AEV's 3.5" and 4.5" kits, virtually eliminate bump-steer and improve handling by correcting the position of the lower control arms rear mounts. Although not "required", we add the Geomoetry Correction Brackets to EVERY Jeep that gets an AEV lift at our shop. We have found that using AEV's Geometry Correction Brackets and ProCal Module give the absolute best ride quality with this lift kit.
