AMP 79105-01A Power Running Board Override Switch Kit

The Amp Research 79105-01A is a PowerStep™ override switch kit designed to give owners of AMP Research PowerStep, PowerStep XL, or PowerStep Xtreme electric running boards manual control over their deployment and retraction functions. Instead of relying solely on the automatic door-activated operation, this dash-mount toggle switch with STA1 controller lets you choose to keep the steps retracted (up), in automatic mode, or deployed (down) — useful for off-road situations, washing, servicing, or preventing unwanted step movement. The switch wires directly into the PowerStep controller, installs easily in the cab, and is compatible with most AMP Research PowerStep systems (excluding a few specific kit numbers), providing added flexibility and convenience for trucks equipped with powered side steps.
